Our Story

Hi, we’re Lu and Coral-Bella — A mother-daughter duo on a mission to make second-hand the first choice — for your wardrobe and the planet.
This is a brand new venture for us, but it’s rooted in something we’ve lived and loved for years: choosing second-hand over fast fashion.
Coral-Bella was born on the Wild Coast of South Africa, where we spent many years living in a rural village. Shopping trips were few and far between, but even when we did make it to the city or a big mall, we never gravitated toward glossy chain stores. We were always drawn to the charm of thrift shops — the character, the uniqueness, and the thrill of discovering something truly special.
Clothes were always recycled in our household, and it was common practice in our community too — especially among the kids. As the owners of a backpackers, we even ran clothing drives with our guests, who would collect and bring bags of clothes that we distributed to families in the village. That spirit of reusing, sharing, and giving has always been a part of our lives.
Now, having relocated to Cape Town, we’re excited to grow Bella & Co. — to source unique pieces both locally and abroad, especially from trusted European suppliers. Our collection is handpicked, carefully quality-checked, steam-cleaned, and offered to you with pride.
